Phlebotomy Technician Program Description

The phlebotomy technician program prepares students for employment as a phlebotomist in a hospital, clinical, or independent medical laboratory.

A phlebotomist collects, processes, and distributes laboratory specimens according to established procedures for analysis.

Techniques of venipuncture for specimen collection are demonstrated and practiced in the lab to allow the student to perform these skills in a clinical setting with supervision.

  • Applicant must be 17 years old or older.
  • High school diploma or GED certificate
